it's common, yet terrifying, for the realization that time is truly tyrannical and indifferent to be followed by some sort of nihilism, loss of hope, or even general aimlessness. i guess this sense of awareness (and powerlessness to an extent) emerges from our fear of change. like you mentioned, being observant of all these changes is some sort of burden and the inability of other people to emphasize with us about these things hinders us from attaining clarity and peacefulness and essentially from "living."

while that these are true, it's important to turn to our memories and the remains of what we hold close to our hearts fondly as you said. it's a matter of crafting our own lives one day at a time. even if we're bound by time, isn't it still fascinating how we're still in control of our decisions and how we live our lives with people who are dear to us?

i got teary-eyed and emotional so i couldn't help but share these sentiments. hope this is alright with you. also i love what you shared about your siblings– both living testimonies that change is indeed inevitable. may you be well, gabrielle.

hi, khaella! thank you for taking the time to share how this piece resonated with you; i am symbolically giving you a tight hug right now <3 it's more than alright to share these things with me and i am glad that you felt comfortable enough to do so!! i love how you phrased this, "even if we're bound by time, isn't it still fascinating how we're still in control of our decisions and how we live our lives with people who are dear to us?" because it points to our agency as people, as well as the pace of the universe. the world is always going to be moving, what are you going to do about it? sort of thing. thank you for bringing that up and i hope you and your loved ones are doing well too! take care <33
